Monitoring & Asset Management

You cannot watch what nobody wrote down.

Monitoring only ever covers the devices somebody remembered to add. We start from a discovery sweep rather than an inventory spreadsheet, then watch every class of device from one console: network, WAN links, servers, storage and the software licenses attached to them.

The challenge

What goes wrong quietly

None of these announce themselves, which is why they are usually found late.

Alerts nobody trusts

One failed upstream switch fires an alert for everything behind it, so the team filters the mailbox and misses the next real outage.

An inventory that drifted

The asset list was accurate the day it was exported, so every audit, renewal and budget request now starts with a guess.

Support ends without warning

A switch fails out of warranty, or a renewal lapses on a system still in production, and the first notice is the vendor refusing the case.

How we do it

Discovery, then signal, then lifecycle.

The same four steps for a core switch, a server, a software license or a UPS, since one record has to cover them all.

Sweep, do not assume

We scan the network, pull from directories and cloud accounts, and reconcile against purchase and warranty records, so the inventory starts from evidence.

Instrument and map dependencies

We decide what each class of device reports, from interface errors to disk latency and certificate expiry, then map what sits above it so one upstream failure raises one incident.

Make every alert actionable

Thresholds come from your observed baseline, not vendor defaults. Each alert has an owner and a documented first action, and anything with no action attached gets switched off.

Keep the record current

Purchases, moves and retirements update the same record, with warranty and end of support dates feeding a refresh plan. Retired kit leaves monitoring and comes off the license count.

Tools we use

Platform-neutral, chosen to fit your estate.

We deploy and operate what suits your environment and licensing, rather than reselling one stack to everybody.
