Datacenter & Disaster Recovery

Taking a backup is easy. Restoring under pressure is not.

We design and run the compute, storage and virtualization underneath your applications, then build the recovery path that brings them back. Every RTO and RPO we set is one we have tested with a real failover, not one written into a document.

The challenge

Where the core lets you down.

These three turn up almost every time we look at an estate that has never actually been failed over.

Backups the attacker deletes

Ransomware reaches the backup server because it shares a domain and admin credentials with production, so the one clean copy disappears with everything else.

Replication nobody has tested

Jobs fail quietly for weeks, or the standby volumes look consistent while the database comes up corrupt because the application was never quiesced.

Hardware past its refresh

Hosts and arrays are out of warranty, the cluster has no spare capacity for a failure, and every new workload still means buying another box.

How we do it

From a paper plan to a proven failover.

We size the platform first, then build the copies, then run the failover, because a recovery target only counts once it has been met.

Rank workloads, set targets

We put an RTO and RPO against each application rather than one number for the whole estate, and map what each one needs to start: directory, DNS, database, license server.

Build the platform

We consolidate workloads onto all-flash or scale-out storage and hyperconverged or traditional hosts, sized so the cluster survives a host loss. Where a hypervisor change makes sense, we plan and run the migration.

Make the copies immutable

Backups land on storage that cannot be altered or deleted for a set retention, held outside the production domain with its own credentials, so an intruder with domain admin cannot reach them.

Fail over and back

We replicate to the recovery site, run a real failover on a schedule, time it against the targets, and fix what slipped. Failback is rehearsed too, because that is the half most plans skip.

Tools we use

Platform-neutral, chosen to fit your estate.

We deploy and operate what suits your environment and licensing, rather than reselling one stack to everybody.
